The common pinktoe lives in trees and builds silk tube retreats high up in its enclosure. Adults are dark with pink or orange toe tips.

Ventilation is the key to this species. Use an enclosure with vents on opposite sides, keep the substrate only lightly damp, and mist one side of the web now and then. Wet, still air causes deaths.

It is calm, but it can jump out of the enclosure very quickly. Open the lid slowly and keep the door area clear.
