The emperor scorpion is a large, black forest scorpion that glows blue-green under UV light. It is calm for a scorpion and a good first species.
Keep the substrate moist but not wet, with good ventilation so mould does not grow. Give a water dish and a few hides. Feed crickets or roaches sized to its body.
It is listed on CITES Appendix II. Buy captive-bred animals with papers.
