The giant day gecko is a bright green gecko that is active in the day. It is a beautiful display animal, but not one for handling.
Give strong UVB lighting and a basking spot of 32 to 35 °C, with the rest of the enclosure at 24 to 28 °C. Mist once or twice a day so humidity stays at 60 to 75%.
Feed dusted insects every 2 to 3 days and a fruit nectar or complete gecko diet a few times a week. Males fight, so keep one male per enclosure. It is listed on CITES Appendix II.
