Gooty Sapphire Ornamental

The Gooty sapphire is one of the most beautiful tarantulas, with metallic blue legs and yellow bands. In the wild it is critically endangered and lives in a very small forest area. Every animal in the hobby should be captive bred.

It lives on tree trunks. Give a tall enclosure with a cork bark slab or tube, lightly damp substrate and good ventilation.

It is extremely fast and can move from the enclosure to your arm in a second. Plan every maintenance step, keep a catch cup ready, and never work with the lid fully open.
